I know three Lata gems from this Chitalkar-Lata co-production of 1953. But this song is peak of them all. There are not many Lata songs under Chitalkar's able direction, where she sings such high. Particularly the opening couplet is sung unusually higher notes, noting the fact that the music director is maestro Ramchandra Chitalkar. But amazingly Lata never loses her sweetness nor any note.
