Here are three haunting songs of Lata that Madan Mohan composed, none of them rare by any means, I am also not sure if they already exist in ISB (It's nice if somebody could confirm that). (1)sajanaa lagan teri sone na de (Duniya na maane) (2)chain nahi.n aae (Samundar) (3)un aa.Nkho.N me.n neend kahaa.n (not known) (and there may be more....) Madan Mohan composed all the three using swaras of Bhairavi (as it appears to me), and using almost the same meter, so much so that while listening to any one of them it is very easy to confuse that which one you are actually listening to! and one has to wait until the 'sthaaii' returns. Try humming them, you can easily start with the first one and end-up with the third. But MM did not recycle any part of the tune at any place, all the three are perfectly distinct. Each one of them sound to be in Bhairavi but i am not sure if they exactly follow the "chalan" of Bhairavi, since although being at par with the more popular Bhairavi of MM "tuu pyaar kare yaa thukaraae", these composition dont sound to approch Bhairavi as much as tuu pyaar kare, anyway, I would wait for experts to comment on this issue, i enjoy them all equally. Below are the lyrics of all the three beautiful songs, but again, not complete, there are missing stanzas and corrections required here and there. i wait for RMIMers to complete them.
