I was planning to post the last Lata song of Naubahaar "unake bulaave pe Dole meraa dil",but after reading Ketan's follow up on "aao, aao jaan-e-jahan", I want to share my own experience about another
song.

This song has something more than the usual charm associated with Lata-CR treasure trove and this makes it extra special.

Mala Sinha is waiting for Raj Kumar, who comes to meet her every night after crossing a river in a boat.(There is a real life story fitting this scenario. The princeof "Kutub Shahi Dynasty" that ruled Hyderbad, was in love with "Bhagmati". The prince had to cross the river "Musi" to reach her place and even during floods he used to do that. His dad then built a bridge named "puraana puul" across the river.Another name for Hyderbad is "Bhagyanagar" derived from "Bhagmati".)

Coming back to the song, the prelude music reminds me of the Yasmin song "ab vo baateen kahaan".Then Lata starts with "aajaa aajaa". Some of the words are repeated twiceand the second time they sound like an echo and create a resonanceas if the words are reflected by water.Even before seeing the movie I was spell bound by this song. I remember the reaction of an RMIMer when I played this song on the phone. After seeing the song picturisation the I was awe struck.

To magnify the effect I played this song on the video as well as audio at the same time, and the  ambience created was...well I can't express it in words. To me "de khabar" sounds like "le khabar" in some lines.
Words in <> have ther resonance effect.

As the song progresses Mala Sinha is tired of waiting for Raj Kumar and starts in the boat in search of him. The song ends with "aajaa aajaa  aajaa" and Raj Kumar jumps into the river and reaches Mala Sinha's boat.
