Surprised to see that the ISB and the LATAnjali sites do not appear to have any
song from Humlog, Roshan's celebrated opus... A few words here that defied my
understanding despite repeated hearings... maybe a better pair of ears can do
some justice to this...

kab miTegaa faasalaa makes sense... faasalaa duur kaa? and TuuTegaa faasalaa?
and that line souonding suspiciously like "aam chuur kaa" is just so ridiculous
I am sure I am wrong :-)
bahatii miinaa? Isn't miinaa fish? Oh... aa.Nkh kii miinaa as in miinaakshi? Or
just my grey matter needing a fresh input of fish?

These blanks in my understanding notwithstanding, VM Adil's lyrics here are of a
high order of quality. The internal rhyming of haay/aaye/lagaaye is particularly
fetching... or call it an unusual rhyme scheme with unevenly metered lines.
Roshan does an excellent job of curve-fitting here. No awkwardly broken words or
hanging syllables. The song itself is more cheery than one would guess from the
lyrics alone. Almost as if the heroine is marking time till the separation
should come to its expected end rather than lamenting the distances between her
and her loved one.. The tune flows like a youthful hill-stream, sparkling, a
hop, skip and a jump in it and yet never boisterous. This comes rather early in
Roshan's career and the orchestration appears not to have acquired the
sophistication it did in later years.
