This is more an ATMP than FITB post. (Add The Missing Part.) Satish-ji and Saroj-ji have conveyed to me through Satish-ji's email their high opinion of this song. The email says that this 1948 song also disproves that Lata started out singing in Noorjehan's style in her earlier years. I not only agree completely with the Kalras but would add that there are traces of the style Lata developed later in some of her Marathi Film songs sung as early as 1944. Especially the astounding grace of her swoop on or the glide to the 'sam' as demanded by the composition; it was given to Lata, Lata and Lata alone.
