I have been reading and hearing about this masterpiece by Hansraj Behl for years now. And finally when I got hold of it, and listened to it,I did not
even notice it the first time. It just came and went by like many other good
Lata songs that are so common. One fine day, I realized that I *had* this song
and I must listen to it carefully.

This post is a result of many many obligatory careful listens after the first
one. I am posting the lyrics in an attempt to get over with this one. And I
still cannot quite figure out how I missed this exceptional beauty the first
time. Lyrics are adorable, too - espeically the first antaraa. And Lata is
stupendously charming like she used to be in many of those pre-1950 songs.
